A Michigan college student is accused of spiking her roommate’s iced tea with bleach after a spat over dirty dishes.
Kayla Ashlyn Bonkowski, 19, faces felony poisoning charges for dumping the lethal chemicals into 20-year-old Emily Joseph’s drink at their Union Township apartment last month.

Bonkowski admitted to trying to poison Joseph, police said.
“She knew that spraying the bleach was a serious thing,” a police affidavit states, according to the newspaper.
Joseph was treated at a local hospital and released.
Bonkowski will appear in court on Monday. If convicted, she faces a maximum of 15 years in prison.
Central Michigan University released a statement about Bonkowski's case to the Daily News.
"CMU is aware of the situation and is still awaiting a police report from the Michigan State Police, which is leading the criminal investigation," the school said. "The university continues to collect information and will follow the provisions of the student code of conduct in addressing this matter."
