New dramatic video shows Hurricane Sandy turning the Hoboken and Exchange Place PATH stations into tunnels of roaring whitewater – with rippling waves and waterfalls.
In the first clip pulled from Port Authority surveillance cameras, rushing water consumes the outside of the darkened Exchange Place station.
The next snippet shows the flooded inside of the station, a giant mass of murky water rising to the top of the turnstiles.
In another scene, water is seen gushing violently out of a pair of elevators inside the Hoboken station, transforming the platform into a frothy lake.
Perhaps not surprisingly, those hard-hit New Jersey stations remain out of service 17 days after the unprecedented storm.
